HC Dismisses Petition Against Sub Registrar on a Claim on an "Illegal Sale Deed"

The Madurai Bench of Madras High Court on 12 June 2019, dismissed a writ petition praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing a District Registrar to take appropriate action as against a Sub Registrar, for having registered certain "illegal sale deed" on the basis of the petitioner's representation made to the District Registrar.

The court held that, "the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a writ of mandamus invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India, which is absolutely
unjust."
